Katy Wood
Broward Site Director
Katy has had a heart for children in foster care since she was a little girl, inspired by her grandmother, who was a foster parent. When becoming a foster parent herself wasn’t an option, she prayed for other ways to support children and families impacted by the child welfare system. Over the years, she built relationships with incredible foster families and looked for ways to come alongside them.
When she learned about The Hands and Feet, she knew she wanted to get involved. Katy began as a volunteer, managing a storage unit alongside her friend Diana. Together, they took a leap of faith to help establish The Hands and Feet’s Broward branch, trusting that the time and resources needed would come together.
Today, Katy serves full-time as the Broward Site Director, overseeing daily operations and helping ensure children and families receive the essentials they need. As a wife and mother of three, including a child with special needs, Katy’s passion for serving families is deeply personal. Her family has been an incredible source of support throughout her journey with The Hands and Feet, and she looks forward to seeing how the organization continues to grow and serve the community.
