Makayla Doolin

At 18 years old, Makayla moved in with her sister, Bailey, and brother-in-law and saw firsthand the reality of the foster care system. Children were being dropped at their doorstep, usually with no more than the clothes on their backs. Pain, anger, fear, and confusion were on the faces of every child dropped off in the middle of the night. It was awful to witness what each of these children experienced while also coming with absolutely nothing. Oftentimes Makayla would be the one sent out to get basic needs for these new little ones who were occupying her sister's home, essentially acting as the OG Hands and Feet before it ever existed.

After Bailey stopped fostering and adopted Makayla's 4 nieces and nephews she and Bailey recognized there was a huge gap in the system and thought maybe, just maybe, they could fill it. In July of 2021 Makayla and Bailey fulfilled their very first delivery. Since that evening the organization has grown extensively.

Makayla now finds herself behind a desk making the operations of the organization run in 3 areas totaling 6 counties. The staff she oversees on a daily basis has helped serve thousands of children since inception, helping families and children feel that in their darkest times they are not alone.
